  • WINTER FAVOURITES During this time of year, the RICARDO test kitchen likes to simmer warm and comforting dishes, both at work and home. To help keep you warm, they shared a few of their favourite dishes of the season from our existing winter repertoire.
  • THE BEST HUMMINGBIRD CAKE This moist cake, featured on the cover of our new issue, is Ricardo’s favourite dessert this season. The cake, a classic in the southern United States, is made with bananas and pineapple and covered in cream cheese icing. Its name originates from the idea that the cake is sweet enough to attract hummingbirds, which feed on nectar.
  • VEGAN LIME TART Who doesn’t enjoy a slice of lime tart, especially during citrus season? This vegan version is a blend of lime juice, cashews and coconut milk, which is then poured into a crust and topped with a coconut-flavoured whipped cream substitute. A dessert without eggs or butter, it’ll still taste like a tropical vacation.
