Want to try something new for supper but lack the time? With its rich blend of tomatoes, bell peppers and mushrooms, this cacciatore cooking sauce is just the ticket!

 

Main protein

  • For 2.2 lbs skinless chicken drumsticks or thighs
    Delicious served with pasta.

    Skillet: In a large non-stick skillet, brown the chicken in 2 tbsp oil. Add the sauce. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

    Slow cooker: Coat the meat in the sauce. Cover and cook for 4 hours on Low.

    Pressure cooker: Coat the meat in the sauce. Cover and select the Poultry function. Set to cook for 15 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.



 

Alternative proteins

  • For 4 white fish fillets (such as cod, halibut, etc.)
    Delicious served with pasta and a green vegetable

    Skillet: In a large non-stick skillet, brown the fillets on both sides in 2 tbsp oil. Add the sauce. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until the fish is cooked through


  • For 1 ½ lbs firm tofu, patted dry and cubed. 
    Delicious served with spaghetti squash or pasta.


    Skillet: In a large non-stick skillet, brown the tofu in 2 tbsp oil. Add the sauce. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

rien a dire trop bon excellent

Bonne sauce, ça dépanne quand on est pressé. N'hésité pas a y rajouter des extras (épices, légumes etc) C'est une vraiment bonne base (pas trop salé en plus contrairement à beaucoup de sauces en pot). Excellent!

Pour la mijoteuse, est-ce qu’un pot de sauce est suffisant??? Merci j’ai hâte de goûter

On a fait dorer des gnocchis puis on a ajouté un pot de sauce. On a couvert puis mijoté 10 minutes. Un super repas facile, rapide et surtout, délicieux !!! Merci Ricardo :-)

J'ai essayé cette sauce en fin de semaine avec des poitrines de poulet et c'était excellent ! La prochaine fois, je vais essayer celle pour le porc effilochée. Bravo Ricardo !
